3rd Week...

MOTHERS WEEK!!!

This was the week for hanging baskets!!

We did a lot of work trying to get as many into the greenhouse as possible... all week long we had someone on petrol filling the empty spots as customers bought them...

It was a lot of fun and we had some beautiful baskets!!!

I think I am starting to get a hang of how things work... There are a few things that always must be done!!!

First always go to work and clock in:)

Help customers!!!

Organize receiving

Dead-head everything...

There are plants that need water so I help with that a lot!!

We get shipments in a few times a week so there is always pricing to be done... and more plants to be put out and fit onto tables!!!

Then my favorite... SWEEPING!!!! We are always sweeping up after customers so that it stays looking really clean and nice!!!

And last... but I think the most important... MAKE FRIENDS!!!

2nd Week...

The petunia sale went great… We sold tons of them!!!!

In the greenhouse we have what we call basket stuffer's that are about 3” pots…

We also have 4” pots that have more options… they cost more but they are bigger more mature plants so some people really like the bigger pots sizes!

Then we have the pony packs… they are packs of 4 and most of our veggies come in this size also!

I have not taken my flower ID class yet so I am trying to learn and remember all the flowers but it’s really hardL I have found a few new favorites to add to my list of really cool plants but I can’t always remember the names.

Because of the sale I had many ladies want help designing their baskets for their yard… This was way fun and really helped me remember some of the flowers names!! The customer would tell me about the pot size, location, and amount of sun, any colors they liked and anything else they thought would be helpful… Then came the fun part!! I would walk around and help pick out and design their baskets!!!
